It is certainly unfair to allow one's own particular parochial, doctrinal interpretation to trump our First Amendment, which is supposed to free us from the tyranny of particular religious customs--- his being the belief that sex-gender stereotypes and obscure biblical passages take priority over any commitment to equal protection of the laws. <BR/>What this charlatan "civil rights" leader is advocating is another institution, separate but equal to marriage. I agree with you, but a lot of the people in this country don't. In college, when I had a girlfriend, I was far more productive and spent less time going to bars/parties, on the Internet, or doing other things that pull me away from doing work.
